Snetterton Race Report
BSB Round 5 was over at Snetterton and started on Friday with 2 FP sessions.
FP 1 in the morning, with a FL of 1:51.622 P9 & the second practice in the afternoon, again P9 with a slight improvement at 1:51.465.
So I started the weekend with more work to do than I was expecting, I had struggled for front end feel all day and knew I had a lot of work to make it happen in qualifying the next day.
Saturday arrived and we only had qualifying to do, I still didn’t feel much better, but managed to improve on my time at 1:50.624 - P8 which was a step in the right direction & starting on the grid in 7th.
Sunday, race day started with warm up - P9 again - 1:51.221 and then it turned out to be a very good race for me, having a good start and plugging away lap by lap, I managed 5th and my fastest lap of the weekend - 1:49.802 which I’m pleased about because my weekend was far from easy !!
I couldn’t close the gap to Kerr and McConnell to have a go at the podium, however I’m happy with the top 5 and leaving Snetterton P3 in the Championship.
Thank you to my team for working with me and trying to get where we wanted it and thank you to my sponsors for all your support, I really appreciated it, especially on weekends like this that aren’t the easiest.
Thanks as always also, for all the messages over the weekend.
Next up is Brands Hatch in a couple of weeks!!
