NLR - Round 3 - Cadwell Park - Race Report

The weekend got off to a good start, qualifying in P1 feeling good for the race & running the fastest lap, by race time though, the weather had closed in and it was a wet race, got off to a good start and led for 9 laps but then James took the lead & I came in P2, getting the fastest lap though, so on pole for the next race on Sunday.

It is hard knowing just how hard to push when leading in the tricky & changing conditions, so a huge lesson was learned in this race.

Race 2 on Sunday did not go my way, was leading again from the start, had the wet front tyre on, not knowing which was the best option, the track dried rapidly and on lap 4, I tucked the front at Charlie's, just pushing too hard & asking too much of a wet front tyre on a drying track, again a massive lesson learnt. Would like to thank the marshalls for helping me when I came off.

So then was a race against the clock to get the bike built back up after a good smashing, ready for the next race in a couple of hours, huge thanks to Big Joe & Dad for getting the bike out for the last race.

Race 3, got a good start and led all the way round, coming in P1, very pleased with that and also pleased to come away 2nd overall after a challenging weekend and we sure had all seasons of weather over the 3 days.

Thanks to everyone for your messages when I came off, it means a lot

Thanks to all my sponsors in 2021, family, supporters, friends for getting me there, next up is the 3rd BSB test on Wednesday.
