So it was the final round of the BSB last weekend at Brands Hatch
The whole weekend was brilliant for me and the team, we started with FP on Friday, we did not go out in FP1 as it was wet and we had nothing to gain by doing so, in FP2 I came in P4 with a FL 1:29.986 on lap 7 of 9.
On Saturday, I qualified in P6 - 1:28.488 on 9 of 10 laps, which wasn’t too bad as we had an intermediate front tyre in ! Race 1 later that afternoon was chaos, with the track drying but dark clouds looming overhead, we decided to go with wets, we could have done with a harder wet, but we managed to hold on to the end and finish in P3 - 1:33.746 on 8 of 14 laps.
On Sunday there was no morning warm up, the sun was out and track dry, so we were straight into race 2, I managed to lead for 3 laps and then slipped down a few positions, but got my mojo back and started to push for 2nd however it didn’t quite happen. We managed another P3 and my fastest lap of the weekend - 1:27.503 on 7 of 14 laps, which is a very solid result and happy that I got that dry podium !!
A very good end to my season which has given me confidence for the future. Thank you to everyone who has helped me this year, I really appreciate all of you, because none of this would be happening if you were not there.
Thanks to everyone who has come out to the tracks to support, bought merch and sent messages throughout the season also, it means a lot.
To the JR Performance team, another mega season together finishing 4th in the championship , I’m so grateful for what you have done for me, so thank you. I’m really happy, with 5 podiums (2 wins, 1 second & 2 thirds) I will take that, I have made a massive leap this year and I am very grateful, I’m just warming up !
